organic seasonal treatments

Our seasonal treatments are designed to offer regular nourishment to your lawn, to ensure it stays fertilised and resistant to weeds or diseases throughout the year. Our treatments are carefully adapted according to the prevailing seasonal conditions and will be offered at each lawn care visit. Treatments include organic fertiliser and soil conditioner, which are essential to improving the growing capacity of your lawn. An optional soil test analysis may be recommended once a year to measure the change in the soil profile of your lawn so treatments can be tailored further to your lawn’s precise needs.

HEALTHY SOIL = HEALTHY PLANT = HEALTHY PLANET

Healthy soil is our main aim of all our treatment programmes. This can only be achieved by understanding:
  • the constituent elements of a healthy soil profile
  • how we can improve soil health
  • how the soil interacts with the grass plant and
  • what are the potential environmental implications
Fundamentally, healthy soil is made up a number of main nutrients, micro nutrients, trace elements and micro-organisms.

The organic fertilisers used by Guardian Lawn Care contain up to 100% organic content, providing a balance of all the nutrients and trace elements needed to ensure a healthy and varied microbial population.  This microbial population is crucial in the process of processing carbon in such a way that it is available to the plant. We explain this is greater detail in our environmental ethos section.

Alongside the granular fertiliser application we apply an organic microbial soup spray (soil conditioner), consisting of extra humates, seaweed extract and sometimes chelated iron to further nourish the microbial population.
