SOIL TEST analysis

We are very pleased to announce that we have secured a specialist soil analysis test, which will provide an exact profile of the soil of your lawn. Not only will it highlight the major nutrients, micro nutrients and soil characteristics present in actual soil on your lawn, it will enable us to tailor a lawn care programme that is specific to your lawn's individual needs.

What information does the Soil Test Anaylsis provide?
Specifically, the soil test will provide:
  • a baseline score for each element
  • a comparison against the established guideline score parameters
  • indicate deficiencies in nutrients and micro nutrients
  • indicate deficient or excessive soil ph. Low pH soil (acidic) or high pH soil (alkaline) are unable to process nutrients efficiently and negatively impact the microbial population.
  • indicate the CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity) of the soil. Soil particles hold a negative charge (cation) on its surface, which bind positively charged atoms and CEC is a measure of soil fertility because it shows the soils ability to supply 3 important plant nutrients; Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium.

Most importantly the soil test will provide:
  • recommendations on where attention should be focussed and changes made to treatment strategy.
  • A report will be provided to you.

This is a specialist test and comes at an additional cost of £50 per test (for any size lawn). In order to measure the change, we would recommend having one test at the beginning of the year, and one at the end for comparison.
